quieting down and yet...

Things seem to be quieting a little in terms of harm to people but there is still alot of house burning here. People aren't being shot or macheted, but they are losing everything they have. These are fucking barbarians.

Most people are just poor, beautiful people who want to live a quiet life. It is hard to watch. Tonight one of my staff's house was attacked. They fled and are all okay. The house next to hers was burnt down. They would have burned hers if they had time before the australian troops arrived. The family has moved into a camp to sleep for the night. There is a good chance her house won't be standing in the morning. I stood there afterwards and watched the firemen put out the fire with her.

Sadness has been temporarily replaced with anger.
